Christian-André Weinberger

Christian-André Weinberger runs as founder and owner both, his own strategic leadership executive advisor and consultant business (STRATEGY IMPLEMENTED GmbH) since 2011 and as a top-qualified Austrian tourist guide also the renowned, state certified, touring guide company promoting lasting enhancement of Austrian history, art and culture (TOP LOCATION AUSTRIA GUIDING) since 2020, respectively.  His focus is to establish and enhance world class brands and to promote the globally leading Top Location Austria (Nation/Governance/City branding).  Hereby he strengthens Austria’s international hub role by serving as a dialogue platform for international affairs, bridge builder for political, economic and public matters, center for fossil and renewable energy and industrial cluster leader for innovation and quality living.
Furthermore, after meeting the required quality criteria and successfully completing the examination hearing, he successfully passed the business training as a certified supervisory expert for top management executive board members and for company foundation boards in 2012. Since then, he consecutively achieved mandatory recertification for a 3 years periode, the current one valid through 2024.

Previously, he was in the extended management board of directors as a Corporate Senior Vice President (CSVP) and Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Laundry & Home Care at European family owned Henkel (DAX 30) headquartered in Düsseldorf / Germany from 2005 to 2010.  There he was responsible for the global strategy, brand equity and innovation pipeline of the €4.3 bn laundry and home care business division, accounting for 32% of Henkel’s consolidated sales.

Weinberger was also the official representative of the Laundry & Home Care business division on the board of the World Business Council of Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in the USA and on the Henkel’s Sustainability Council, which is the global decision-making body steering the company’s worldwide sustainability activities.  He redefined and expanded the Laundry & Home Care business division’s global marketing strategy, enhanced its exemplary record in terms of brand equity leadership and innovative strength, and significantly improved efficiency and profitability.  He established a strategic policy - “performance based on sustainability” - which was adopted groupwide.

Born in Austria, Weinberger started his international career with global executive experience in both developed & emerging regions (Europe, USA, Latin America, CEE, MENA and Asia) in 1990 in the USA in the financial services industry before moving to the American fast moving consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble (Dow Jones 30).  From 1992 to 2003 he held a variety of international marketing management posts in the American corporate business culture with significantly accelerated career moves in the South American and European headquarters in Caracas/Venezuela and Geneva/Switzerland and in Vienna/Austria.

Weinberger laid the foundation for his consciously global focus right back during his first degree at the University of Economics and Business in Vienna (AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS accredited) by opting for a number of foreign pioneering placements.  The economics graduate was rewarded for his proven expertise with, for example, a MBA merit scholarship to the University of Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA and also a further MBA research scholarship to Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia.

With 30 years of experience in the FMCG industry in all prevailing consumer categories, today, Christian-André Weinberger, is also faculty guest speaker at the "triple crown" (AACSB/AMBA/EQUIS) accredited WU Executive Academy for Global and Professional MBA.  He continues to travel the world and is frequently invited to speak at international conventions and universities (Vienna, Berlin, Phoenix, St. Gallen, Zurich, Frankfurt, Munich, Essen, Mannheim, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, etc.) on subjects such as strategic leadership, brand equity building, marketing, employer branding, innovation leadership, business turnaround, high performing organizations, performance-based sustainability and digitalisation/ICT-based efficiency.

Weinberger enjoys a great work and private life balance (e.g. sabbatical in 2004).  He is father of 4 tri-lingually raised (Austrian, English, Spanish) children and lives in Vienna (Austria) and Caracas (Venezuela).
